PREPARE FOH STAFF

  • Select how you want delivery drivers to interact with waiting team.

  • Train team to use the online ordering system.

  • Create a zone for delivery drivers, away from internal traffic.

  • Install a visible signage to direct delivery drivers to pickup orders

  • Disgante one of your team to be responsible to manage in house delivery and third-party apps.

  • Train the order monitoring in charge to enter orders, coordinate with drivers, and the kitchen so you don’t have irregularities.

  • Develop a “declined order” method to inform customers if items are no longer available.


PREPARE BOH STAFF

  • Adjust your kitchen layout to be efficient as possible with the delivery flow

  • Set up a test period of two weeks or more before hiring for new members.

  • Monitor capacities during your test period to see the impact of sales on kitchen staff.

  • Define existing and upcoming hiring requirements based on the results from your test period.


OPTIMIZE YOUR MENU

  • Review your menu to be adapted for online ordering.

  • Use high-quality photos.

  • Create clear and specific names for each dish item.

  • Include all ingredients in descriptions to help manage any allergies.

  • Categorize menu items for easy and fast browsing max. 15 in each.

  • Create specific categories to track sales based on your revenue source items such “top selling”

  • Create a “most popular” or “recommended” category for easy ordering.

  • Include modifiers and extras for customized orders and better tracking (inventory and sales).

  • Eliminate dishes not adapted for delivery due to texture, composition, high packaging cost or complicated to pack.

DEVELOP YOUR MARKETING STRATEGY

  • Create 4 wall marketing signage, like road-facing stickers and table tent cards.

  • Highlight in blog post, your website to advertises online ordering.

  • Make sure your website is mobile friendly.

  • Get the word and photos! out on Instagram with interesting content

  • Advertise with paid social ads that target customers in your area.

  • Launch promo campaign for first-time orders and other motivating incentives.
